I don't want to hurry and it will be better if I wait, I think.
I am a watercolorist living in the desert Southwest, a native of that area. My husband and I enjoyed traveling in our motorhome and I have taken many photographs to be used as reference photos for future paintings on these trips. I have been painting since 2000, it is a passion for me and I have enjoyed exploring all the different subjects to paint; landscapes, florals, portraits, etc. Please feel free to comment below or at susanroper@cox.net.

Susan, your self-portrait is looking great!
Thanks, Rhonda! So far, so good, although I need to keep in mind the need to make it look like me. It is easy to fall into the trap of just trying to make the lips look "good", etc. Also, I am finding it difficult to paint in the known flaws in my face - sags, wrinkles (I prefer the term laugh lines), etc. Those come in my next painting session with this.My hair is a number of different colors (I don't color it) and I am finding that difficult, too. We'll see what happens next!
