Lake Pleasant Monsoon - Truly Final

After receiving thoughtful critiques from the WcW group, I made a few changes. I darkened the areas of the water nearest the shoreline to make that more correct. I also raised up the coral color in the clouds so I could add more of that color to the water, as well as some of the shore reflections.

Now, I can say I am done and satisfied with the results. Having a pool of "second eyes" to look at paintings and see things that we who are painting them cannot (or usually don't!) is imperative.

Susan, I think that the changes you made in the water with the reflected sky color and darker edges made a wonderful improvement in the painting. Great landscape!

I liked this a lot before but now it's even better!! I love the addition of the corals in the clouds.

Thank you Vicki, Rhonda, Coni and Sandy! This was one of those reference photos that, immediately upon first seeing it, my mind kicked into planning mode and I knew just what I wanted to do.

Appreciate the comments and encouragement!
