Giant Argentinean - Final-ly

This is the same Giant Argentinean that I started last Spring, before Tom got sick. It has sat on my easel, waiting for me to finish it, since then. As often happens when I don't get back to a painting very soon I find that I have lost my enthusiasm for the project when feel guilty enough to try to finish it. That happened here, but I did do as much with it as I care to do and call it finished now.

It is on a full sheet of Yupo and will be framed under glass ASAP.

Very strange plant and flower, Susan, but I think you've done a good job on the grees (I might like to see a touch more darks in the center of the flowers but that's just my opinion). Do you spray seal your Yupo paintings before putting them behind glass or leave them?

These flowers have very pale green and purple centers so I didn't want to go very dark with those. Yes, I do spray my Yupo paintings before framing them. I know that Sandy Maudlin says she doesn't spray hers since she often goes back and makes changes later, but I don't see myself doing that with this one, enough is enough!
