Newspaper Rock Final

I finished this full sheet Newspaper Rock this morning. I may have miscounted, but there seem to be 88 glyphs on this. The spattering alone took three sessions. Now to mat and frame this, hopefully without breaking my big sheet of glass. It will go into a 28 x 36 frame.

Now, on to my next victim, a desert scene I started at the Art Club Thursday.

Susan, I was surprised to see the deep red color on this - totally unexpected and it totally works! Those glyphs rock (pardon the obvious pun :)
I also loved your hollyhocks against that white trellis - super job on the whites and the sunlit flowers - but wished the flowers were bigger.

Rhonda,

When I was glazing on the quin burnt orange I decided to do a glaze of quin burnt scarlet this time, I kinda like the shift toward the deep red this produced.

Regarding the hollyhocks, the next one I do will have more and larger flowers, covering more of the trellis slats. This was fun to do for the first one and it inspired me to do it again, only improve it.

Thanks...Susan
