I am a watercolorist living in the desert Southwest, a native of that area. My husband and I enjoyed traveling in our motorhome and I have taken many photographs to be used as reference photos for future paintings on these trips. I have been painting since 2000, it is a passion for me and I have enjoyed exploring all the different subjects to paint; landscapes, florals, portraits, etc. Please feel free to comment below or at susanroper@cox.net.

I like this very much and the muted colors you've used - it looks very traditonally British, I think, they style and the colors. I would darken the foreground greens even a bit more here and there and call this beauty done!
Rhonda,
I agree that this has taken on a very British landscape quality, maybe the reference photo was taken while the student was in Canada? Anyway, it just happened this way.
By the way, I took your advice and added my photo with Aubrey to the blog. Isn't she adorable?
You both look pretty darned good on the sidebar, Susan :) Love that red hair on Aubrey :) What a dollbaby!
