Since I am so proud of Aubrey's lovely red hair I have never painted her in anything other than living color, so this will be something different.
I am a watercolorist living in the desert Southwest, a native of that area. My husband and I enjoyed traveling in our motorhome and I have taken many photographs to be used as reference photos for future paintings on these trips. I have been painting since 2000, it is a passion for me and I have enjoyed exploring all the different subjects to paint; landscapes, florals, portraits, etc. Please feel free to comment below or at susanroper@cox.net.

For some reason I think that beautiful red hair is going to shine through even in sepia.
Looking good, but I might do everything but the hair in sepia and then let the hair shine :)
Rhonda...I finished adding all the darks and it was looking like a promising portrait, then I completely goofed up the right ear and then destroyed the paper while trying to fix it. So, unless I can manage to put a rose over her right ear, this one will go right into the round file. Sigh
