We have driven our motorhome or former RV's in these states - haven't missed very many!
I am a watercolorist living in the desert Southwest, a native of that area. My husband and I enjoyed traveling in our motorhome and I have taken many photographs to be used as reference photos for future paintings on these trips. I have been painting since 2000, it is a passion for me and I have enjoyed exploring all the different subjects to paint; landscapes, florals, portraits, etc. Please feel free to comment below or at susanroper@cox.net.

This is looking great - and hard to believe you begin with a violet shadow and that yellow still sings :)
Wow, shadows are so difficult in yellow and you even did yours in purple and they are still beautiful!
Thanks Rhonda and Vicki! After several tries at painting things like sunflowers and daffodils with yellows and trying to get the contrasts I love that make them sunlit, I am glad I discovered the purple underpainting method.
Vicki, what I first loved when I saw your photo is how the lotus blossom lifts itself away from the water, and I am glad that I was able to make that happen in the painting. Now, to add some reflective light/life in the water, I think I will like that better.
Wow! This is amazing. I've never thought yellow can look this good. With the help of shading it even looks a lot more spectacular than ever.

This flower looks great on yellow. It gives life to the flower. Great imagination you have there.
