Newest Jewelry

As reported earlier, I took an all-day workshop on Artisan Jewelry yesterday. It was a great day, lots of fun and I got lots of tips and techniques. Here is one of the necklaces and earrings sets I made. It is made on memory wire. The centerpiece of the pendant is made from my husband's grandmother's concho belt, which was made of old silver. I am taking the belt apart and reusing the links individually in some of this jewelry. Since it was in the family, I won't be selling any of this, but instead enjoying wearing it myself! I also made some pendants in the class as well as a "stretch ring". More to follow.

I will have my jewelry on display at the ArtChix sale this weekend, as well as many of my paintings. This will be my last sale of the season to participate in so if you are in the area, do stop by and have a peek at what I have been creating.

What a lovely set, and what a great way to recycle an unused family heirloom and bring it new life!
I wish I could be at the sale!

Thanks Ladies...I wore this set during the first day of our art sale and received so many nice compliments on it from our customers. I truly will enjoy having this for myself, I think.
