I am a watercolorist living in the desert Southwest, a native of that area. My husband and I enjoyed traveling in our motorhome and I have taken many photographs to be used as reference photos for future paintings on these trips. Great Horned Owl - Reprocessed
I reprocessed this photo to more closely match the painting colors. I don't know why it was recorded as being such a cold tone before; the painting is done in warm colors, except for the shadows for contrast.
Thanks Rhonda...for some reason I can't get the colors right in the photo, usually I can but the painting just glows "in person". This was a fun one to do!
What a powerful painting - that bold warm colors against the cools and the owls are fantastic!
