I am a watercolorist living in the desert Southwest, a native of that area. My husband and I enjoyed traveling in our motorhome and I have taken many photographs to be used as reference photos for future paintings on these trips. I have been painting since 2000, it is a passion for me and I have enjoyed exploring all the different subjects to paint; landscapes, florals, portraits, etc. Please feel free to comment below or at susanroper@cox.net.

Sunset
I am mulling it over to crop the la mesa de mi padre WIP before I continue with it so, in the meantime, thought I would share this sunset photo from two nights ago. This is looking toward the west (obviously, it is a sunset photo!) from our neighborhood. I especially love the sunrises at this time of the year here, but this sunset caught my attention as being worthy of a quick photo.

A sunset like this makes you go, "Ahhhhh," and feel a little better about everything. What beauty!! I'm enjoying your recent painting and the steps you're using to get to the end, too. I'm not sure about the wonky table, though - maybe it's just me and my recent dizziness but it makes me a bit anxious to see it like it's going to fall over! ha ha
