I am a watercolorist living in the desert Southwest, a native of that area. My husband and I enjoyed traveling in our motorhome and I have taken many photographs to be used as reference photos for future paintings on these trips. I have been painting since 2000, it is a passion for me and I have enjoyed exploring all the different subjects to paint; landscapes, florals, portraits, etc. Please feel free to comment below or at susanroper@cox.net.

Dreadful Drake - One Last Time
Thanks to good suggestions for finishing this from my local group and the online WcW group, I have finished this painting. I added more color to the drake so it would be more obvious that the goose/girlfriend was in front of him and it wasn't just one oddly-shaped bird. I like it better now, too.

The extra color on the goose in front did "explain" the scene in a better way.
ReplyDeleteYes! Now it is much easier to read. I like it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Studio and Vicki! It is still on the board, although I am considering it finished. Now, I need to get it matted before I change my mind and start fiddling with it.
