I wanted to do a project painting for the Watercolor Workshop online group and the projects for this month were of pumpkins from this reference photo and scarecrows and blackbirds. Since those go together so well I decided to combine them in a coloring-book style to make a seasonal greeting card design. I think these colors should print well for the cards. Nothing fine art-related here, just a fun project to do.I am a watercolorist living in the desert Southwest, a native of that area. My husband and I enjoyed traveling in our motorhome and I have taken many photographs to be used as reference photos for future paintings on these trips. I have been painting since 2000, it is a passion for me and I have enjoyed exploring all the different subjects to paint; landscapes, florals, portraits, etc. Please feel free to comment below or at susanroper@cox.net.

A very pleasant and jolly looking scarecrow guarding the pumpkins, I see, instead of the corn (as those crows seem to find very advantageous right now :)
ReplyDeleteI like this painting - even if it isn't "fine art."
